Reggae stalwart Yami Bolo uses his years of experience in entertainment to redirect youth toward a talent-driven path as opposed to the easier option of street life. Using his wide-reaching platform of music, Bolo aims the lyrics from his latest release, “Blood Or Not” at the ears of youth in the hopes of deterring them from a life of bloodshed.

“Blood Or Not” was written by Bolo which compliments the performance of Luciano whose song “Killy Killy” is also featured on the Silent Murdah Riddim. Produced by Canadian-based Soul Survival Records and Mark Mosca, Bolo’s “Blood Or Not” was recorded in Toronto, then mixed and mastered by Tandra Lytes of Zen Studios in Jamaica.

Bolo has been recording Jah-centered music since the 1980’s. Following his calling and core belief that his mission is to spread messages of love, peace and hope, Yami built his foundation on his breakout hit single “Jah Made Them All.” He has consistently achieved this goal through his catalog.

Speaking recently from his studio in New York, Bolo said “it is important to remind the youth of the perils of violence. I am using my experience of seeing what happens to those who choose bloodshed to deliver the message that this is not the way. They must develop their talents and share them with the world.”
