International Dancehall Celebrity Macka Diamond to Tour Africa

International Dancehall celebrity Macka Diamond is set to tour Africa March 26th to April 9th, 2022.  Cities along the tour include Randburg (March 26th), Botswana (April 2nd) and Pretoria (April 9th).

The multi-city tour is hosted by Outanational Promotions, and co-hosted Canada’s Award winning Sound, Twin Star International.  Diamond, who has had several hit records throughout her career will be performing songs such as “Bun Him,” “Dye Dye,” “Pink Pearl” and more.

Diamond’s career began in Portmore, Jamaica with her breakout hit single “Don Girl.”  The song was in response to Major Mackerel’s “Don Ban.”  As the daughter of music producer Phillip Munroe, Diamond was surrounded by artists and musicians at an early age.  Gregory Isaacs as well as Sly & Robbie were regular sights.  Sister Nancy and Kady Junie became major influences on the young teen – both providing inspiration.

In 2005 Macka released her album Money-O.  She has collaborated with Denise Belfon on the song “What Girls Like” and Diamond was the first Dancehall artist to give the world a Dancehall novel entitled ‘Bun Him.’  She also released the popular song “Hula Hoop.”

Diamond regularly acts as a mentor for young women, and has spoken openly about experiences she has had within the industry.  Macka is one of the genres most valued performers.
